The Beautiful town of Bakewell and celebrating Carnival week

This week in Bakewell we are celebrating carnival week! If you get the chance to be in Bakewell this week you will not have failed to marvel at the wonderful Bakewell Carnival which takes place each year and is bursting full of dance, music and laughter.

From dancing to wheelbarrow races, well dressing and duck races on the river Wye, it’s a week full of fun. Because we are from Sheffield, we always get asked why did we open a shop in Bakewell and not in Yorkshire?

Well, when Vanessa and Chris were first looking at locations to open their first shop, the town of Bakewell was on the top of their list.

The Beautiful town of Bakewell is situated on the banks of the river Wye and is the biggest town in the Peak District National Park.

Bakewell offers a charming day out full of heritage and tradition, especially the amazing Bakewell tarts and puddings.

With its wonderful places to eat and drink and its variety of small independent businesses you are guaranteed to find everything you need, and if you’ve never visited Bakewell before, then you are certainly missing out.
